Using the Property

Each La Sarenne property owner has numerous privileges for their luxury vacation home and these include planned vacations, last minute getaways, weekends, and back-to-back weeks. A simple reservation system provides ample and significant use for each owner that is comparable to the average usage of any luxury vacation property owner.

Planned Vacations

Each member will reserve two Fall/Winter and two Spring/Summer weeks each year. The Fall/Winter season begins November 1 and ends April 30 each year. The Spring/Summer season begins May 1 and ends October 31 each year. Priority for choosing planned vacations is decided on a rotating basis each season, so that every owner has the opportunity to select peak vacation periods when they choose first.

There will be 28 open weeks left after the Planned Vacations are scheduled each year, 14 weeks in the Fall/Winter season and 14 weeks in the Spring/Summer season. Throughout the year, owners may exchange their Planned Vacation times at any time for alternative time slots that are open.

Unplanned Vacations

Owners may choose to visit the luxury home after the beginning of the year any time when no other owners have reservations. This allows an owner to make plans several weeks ahead of time instead of having to plan out their entire vacation all at once. Owners may make one (1) Unplanned Vacation every 30 days. Unplanned vacations may be reserved for a minimum of three (3) days and a maximum of seven (7) days.

Last Minute Vacations

Owners may make those last minute plans by making a reservation seven days prior to the arrival date if no other owner has already booked the date.

Total Usage

If each of the six owners reserves an equal amount of time to use the property, they will use it for 60 days each year or roughly 8 weeks. However, some owners will likely use the property for fewer than 60 days and others for more. Several days in the fall and spring will be designated for maintenance and bi-annual cleaning.

There will be two seasons of usage: Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter (see chart below)

Reservations forms for the Spring/Summer season will be mailed to members on January 1st each year. Reservations forms are to be returned to the management office by January 31st each year. La Sarenne staff will establish reservations based on the priority reservation chart between February 1st and February 15th, with confirmations sent to members on February 15th.

Reservations for the Fall/Winter season will be mailed to members on July 1st each year. Reservation forms are to be returned to the management office by July 31st each year. La Sarenne staff will establish reservations based on the priority reservation chart between August 1st and August 15th, with confirmations sent to members on August 15th.

Guest Usage

All owners may invite guests to accompany them at any time. They may also allow friends and unaccompanied guests to use the luxury home during any of their Planned Vacation times. Guests may reside free of charge at the wish of the owner. A $100 cleaning charge for administrative coordination upon departure of guests will be charged to the owner.

Rental

Owners may rent out their planned vacation weeks. They are required to use La Sarenne Luxury Properties to manage the rental exchange. Rental income will be split on a 50/50 basis between La Sarenne and the owner. Cleaning and guest fees will be applied.

Housekeeping

Maintaining one household is difficult enough! Who wants the double upkeep of a second home? LaSarrene will take care of everything for you so your vacation starts the instant you walk in the door. We will provide thorough cleaning and maintenance for the luxury property after the departure of every visitor. The cleaning charge is roughly $400 per visit and will be charged to the owner. As noted, unaccompanied guests will be charged an additional $100 administrative fee. Owners or visitors may choose to have daily or routine house cleaning services during their stay. These services, including both the frequency and the time of day they are to be performed, must be scheduled at least one week prior to a residence. Daily cleaning rates will be determined by the level of need.
